The Philadelphia Flyers had back to back games this past weekend and before Saturday night head coach Alain Vigneault decided to make a scratch. 22 year old defenseman Philippe Myers was made a healthy scratch on Saturday's game against the Islanders. As any young blueline prospect, Myers has had stretches where he's looked a little rough but it's expected. On Monday, head coach Alain Vigneault explained the decision. From Bill Meltzer's Twitter:"Av said Myers being scratched on Sat was case of being a young player who hasn't built up a right to leeway yet; he had a series of really good games, then not as good vs WSH then a tough one ("he might have been responsible for 9 scoring chances") in OTT, and "needed a reset."
