Sandstrom has been having an average season with up and downs throughout, putting up a 3.23 GAA and .882 save percentage in 20 games which is far from amazing. However, Sandstrom's play in AHL over the course of the last few season has proven that he can play putting up 2.39 GAA last year and 2.89 the year before. In his first game called up to the NHL he made 43 saves on 46 shots which is an impressive stat but the rest of his games have been subpar.
Even though he hasn't been having the best of seasons, with the Flyers recent struggles and his career stats, it is only fair that he gets one more chance.
