The Flyers have been dealing with goalie problems ever since Hart left the team, Samuel Ersson has been playing well as a starter but the team has been struggling to find a solid back up.

This morning Cal Petersen cleared waivers and has been sent down to the Phantoms. The team has since decided to bring up Felix Sandstrom, who has made his NHL debut but has not been called up this season.
Sandstrom has been having an average season with up and downs throughout, putting up a 3.23 GAA and .882 save percentage in 20 games which is far from amazing. However, Sandstrom's play in AHL over the course of the last few season has proven that he can play putting up 2.39 GAA last year and 2.89 the year before. In his first game called up to the NHL he made 43 saves on 46 shots which is an impressive stat but the rest of his games have been subpar.
Felix Sandström gets what might be his last shot to impress the Flyers
Even though he hasn't been having the best of seasons, with the Flyers recent struggles and his career stats, it is only fair that he gets one more chance.
