MAJOR: Phil Kessel is Done Playing in the NHL

There has been speculation that Phil Kessel is coming to a contract agreement with the Canucks after the 36 year-old winger was spotted on the ice with the Canucks affiliate in the AHL.
Unfortunately, it has now been officially announced that Phil Kessel will not be playing in the NHL, the Canucks had until the deadline to come to an agreement with Kessel which never ended up materializing.
Canucks are done. Not signing Phil Kessel.
If Kessel's time in the NHL is officially over, it has truly been an remarkable career. The all-star winger has won 3 Stanley Cups, played in 1286 games with 992 points, hit the 20 goal-mark 12 times in his career while also putting up over 50 points in a season 12 times.
