As the Flyers took the ice for Monday night's game against the Arizona Coyotes, the Flyers were without 22-year-old right wing Tyson Foerster. Although Foerster was held out of Monday's game, many weren't too concerned with the severity of Foerster's injury and expected him to recover by Thursday. After more tests, Foerster may be expected to miss more time than the Flyers initially expected.

In Saturday night's victory, Foerster put his body on the line and blocked a shot against the Seattle Kraken. Foerster immediately came up gimpy and was later seen leaving the arena in a walking boot. As expected, Foerster missed Monday's practice and the Flyers 5-3 win against the Arizona Coyotes.
Tuesday morning, Foerster underwent some more tests and evaluations, and the results are not boding well for one of the Flyers top right wing's this season and Selke Trophy contender.
"Not good news this morning on Flyers Tyson Foerster... Sounds like Foerster is going to miss some time. After more tests, Foerster's lower-body injury is a little worse than Flyers originally thought. Very slim chance Foerster is back by the weekend as Flyers hoped."

Foerster was originally expected to be back as early as Thursday as the Flyers have the next two days off, but now there is no timetable for his return. On the ESPN injury report, Foerster is listed as "OUT", but has yet to be placed on injured reserve.
