The Philadelphia Flyers saw two goalie prospects playing in the KHL in Russia come over to the North America during this past season. Those prospects were Ivan Fedotov who made his NHL debut with the Flyers and Alexei Kolosov who came over and played for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. According to reports from Belarus Hockey, Alexei Kolosov may return to the KHL after struggling to adapt to North America.

On April 2nd, Alexei Kolosov came to North America and played 2 games for the Phantoms, which he won one and lost the other. Alexei Kolosov defeated the Bridgeport Islanders 5-4 in which he stopped 24 of 28 shots then lost to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 2-0 and stopped 22 of 24 shots. He finished with the Phantoms with a 1-1-0 record, a 3.03 GAA, and a .885 save percentage.
In the AHL playoffs, he was the backup as Cal Petersen started the playoffs games for the Phantoms. These reports have not yet been confirmed by Kolosov's representatives or by Minsk or the Flyers, however if the reports are true, then luckily for the Flyers they have Ivan Fedotov and Sam Ersson under contract to share the goaltending duties.
