John Tortorella was asked about the slow start, and he stated that he felt that both teams started slow, however the difference was that the Canadiens were able to score on their power play, but the Flyers did not score on their power play opportunity. We know of the Flyers' struggles on the power play, however they did score power play goals in three straight games coming into Thursday night. He was also asked about the lack of scoring in the game; however he stated after the slow start, the team had their chances especially in the 3rd period as the Flyers had about a dozen scoring chances, however Canadiens goaltender Primeau shut the door, Primeau finished the night with 29 saves. He was also asked, how tough is it to play after having two goals disallowed, he stated that they were the right calls, but the Flyers continue to play and he felt, the Flyers would find a way to tie the game even after the disallowed goals. He also, stated that the line changes halfway through the game, helped the team with scoring chances. This loss hurts the Flyers, however, luckily for them, both Washington and Detroit lost. The Flyers will try to get back in the win column this Saturday night against the Chicago Blackhawks in Philadelphia.
