The Philadelphia Flyers suffered a lost to the Canadiens on Thursday night. During that game, we saw Travis Konecny get unexpectedly slashed, after, Travis Konecny checked Slafkovsky into the boards by the team's bench. That player that slashed Konecny was Montreal Canadien's Kaiden Guhle. The NHL player safety has announced that Kaiden Guhle has been suspended one game for slashing Travis Konecny from his team's bench.
"Montreal's Kaiden Guhle has been suspended for one game for slashing Philadelphia's Travis Konecny."
Players from the bench are prohibited from interacting with the players on the ice, which is most likely why he was suspended. This is Kaiden Guhle 1st suspension of his NHL career. Even though, this is Kaiden Guhle 1st offense, the NHL clearly has zero tolerance of players from the bench interacting with players on the ice.
