The Flyers sign Oscar Eklind to a one-year contract

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed a player out of the SHL. Per Jamey Baskow, the Flyers signed Oscar Eklind to a one-year entry level contract worth $950,000.

The skinny on Eklind:

He's 6'4 and tough as nails to move off the puck. Not a bad skater, and he registered 17 goals and 11 assists in 48 games played this past season.

He was one of the top free agents out of Europe, and he's a Left Winger.
Oscar Eklind will be 26 at the start of the season next year, he will compete for a roster spot in training camp. This past season, in the SHL (Sweden's top pro league) Oscar Eklind played in 48 games and led his team in goals with 17 and he added 11 assists for a total of 28 points. Oscar Eklind played five seasons in the SHL and played in 160 career games and scored 30 goals, 28 assists for a total of 58 points. Oscar Eklind has size as he is 6' 4" and 220 pounds. If he makes the team out of training camp, we will see how he looks in a Flyers uniform.
