The NHL season is nearing an end, and the offseason always has head coaching changes. One former Flyer head coaching position is unknown and that is Rod Brind'Amour. Rod Brind'Amour's contract with the Carolina Hurricanes has expired and there are now two teams that are rumored to hire him as their next head coach.
The first team is the Seattle Kraken. The Kraken fired their first head coach after this past season, which was former Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol. The current general manager of the Kraken is Ron Francis, who has a history with Brind'Amour as they were teammates in Carolina so this hire may make sense.
The next team is the New Jersey Devils. The New Jersey Devils seem to be in on Brind'Amour and is a team that a new coach would like to go to as they are in win now mode. The issues are for these teams is that it does not seem like Brind'Amour wants to go anywhere else so there a good chance he resigns with the Carolina Hurricanes.
