Flyers Coach John Tortorella has never shied away from the media, and he is always one to stand up and say whatever he is thinking. Sometimes, he is also able to hold things close to the vest as well and not give in to the media's ever probing questions.

In a press conference today, Torts was asked a question about how the team moves forward without Carter Hart:
"I'm not answering any questions on Carter, or anything dealing with Carter." he told the media. "That belongs to the league."- John Tortorella

Torts is saying a few things while not saying anything with this comment. First, he clearly does not want to get into commenting on Carter Hart as it is a legal issue. Second, he clearly does not want any outside news effecting his current team. All Torts can do is coach the players he has and move forward, which is what he's doing. Third, he is showing a great vote of confidence in Sam Ersson. Ersson has been fantastic when called upon this year and Torts has the confidence in Ersson moving forward, he was already switching goalies nightly which was showing positive results as the Flyers skyrocketed up the standings. Now it is Ersson's net for the foreseeable future, and Torts thinks he is up to the task.
The Flyers coach clearly wants to keep the spotlight on the team, not those who are currently away from the team. Hopefully the Flyers can block out the noise and focus on getting back on track amid their 3-game losing streak.
