This season has been an up and down season for the Flyers 2019 second round pick Bobby Brink. At just 22-years-old, Brink has shown some incredible offensive flashes, showing his goal scoring and shot creating abilities. Although not receiving a ton of playing time, Brink has made his minutes count.
In 38 games with the Flyers this season, Brink has recorded 18 points on seven goals and 11 assists. Not bad for a young prospect in his first stint in the show. Despite his success, John Tortorella sent him back down to the Phantoms to further develop his game and work on the physicality and checking aspect.
With just two games in, Brink is already delivering. After scoring a goal in his Phantoms debut, Brink responded the very next night with a two goal performance as Brink and Flyers top prospect Samu Tuomaala are giving Flyers fan a preview of what could be in the future.
In just two games, Brink has three points, all three coming on goals. As the Flyers limped into the All-Star break losing five straight games, will we be seeing Brink back in the lineup if the Flyers continue to struggle?
