The Lehigh Valley Phantoms defeated the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 5-4 in overtime to advance in the Calder Cup playoffs. The Lehigh Valley Phantoms rallied down 3-1 and 4-3 in the 3rd period, to force overtime, to eventually win it in overtime. Jacob Gaucher scored 2:11 into overtime, which completed the sweep of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
With the sweep of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms will now face the Flyers former AHL affiliate of the Hershey Bears. This series will get underway Wednesday night in Hershey, and this series will be a best of 5. Hopefully, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms can pull off another upset victory in this series.
