As all people say, hindsight is 2020 which is very true. Granted, we don't have the luxury of going back in time and telling the Flyers not to draft Nolan Patrick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. The disaster and fallout that is Nolan Patrick continue to fester with this organization.

Patrick was drafted second overall in the 2017 draft and gave the Flyers a beacon of hope that he would become their best prospect in the last 10 years. The 24-year-old centre standing at 6 foot two 199 pounds, was slated to give the Flyers a 1-2 punch with Sean Couturier on the first line.
Sadly, well exercising in the 2019 offseason, Patrick suffered an upper-body injury at training camp that turned out to be a migraine disorder.
This disorder continued to hamper his development and caused all kinds of grief for him. Patrick never recovered from this and was forced to be traded to the Nashville Predators along with Phillippe Myers for Ryan Ellis.

The hypothetical redraft shows the Flyers looking at Jason Robertson who is currently with the Dallas Stars. Robertson had an amazing season which was a continuation of last season. He's giving the Stars great talent in this playoff run.
In my opinion, the Flyers need to continue to push forward as they begin to construct their new core of players that will lead the team into the future and hopefully contend for a Stanley Cup shortly.
