It's been several months since General Manager Danny Briere was promoted to the role full-time, along with President of Hockey Operations Keith Jones.
Flyers ownership decided to move on from former GM and President Chuck Fletcher after several blunders and terrible trades and signings that have led the Flyers to become uncompetitive.
Flyers fans were able to see a small glimpse of trades that were made during the summer when Briere decided to move Kevin Hayes to the St. Louis Blues and move Ivan Provorov to the Columbus Blue Jackets in a three-way deal with the Los Angeles Kings.
It appears now that the Shane Pinto stalemate may be turning a corner as the price tag has been revealed from Briere regarding what he would like in return for taking Mathieu Joseph's contract, which is worth $3,000,000 per season.

Moving this contract will open up the cap space needed for the Ottawa Senators to lock up Shane Pinto long-term. The current Ottawa Senator has gone home to continue his training while he waits for a new deal to become available to sign.
Collecting the first-round draft pick from the Ottawa Senators along with Joseph would help the Flyers greatly in terms of acquiring another high-value talent, a player who is ready now.
Fans will be expecting several trades to come over the next several years as the Flyers continue to reshape the roster and restock the cupboard for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
