Colorado, Minnesota, St.Louis, Carolina, Panthers... There's a LOT of teams that already have been mentioned in the Claude Giroux sweepstake. Of course, there's a lot of talking regarding it, but it's trade deadline season, so buckle up!

Jamey Baskow, Flyers and Phantoms writer for flyersnittygritty.com, thinks that the Toronto Maple Leafs could be interested in Giroux. He said that Kyle Dubas, the Leafs GM, is on the hot seat as his team haven't passed the first round of the playoffs since 2004.
Wayne Simmonds, former Flyer and current Leaf, is one of Giroux's best friend, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he was advocating for his old teammate.
Also, let's not forget that the Leafs were reportedly interested in Justin Braun, so Dubas could try to pull a move including Giroux and Braun.

The only problem here is that Giroux still got a big impact on the salary cap (8.2M$), and the Maple Leafs currently don't have a lot of free cap space. But the team got a lot of assets that could interest the Flyers, so, it could make sense.
In any case, Giroux must place Toronto on his list in order for a deal to be made.
