A former NHL'er has an idea on how to fix the salary cap issues
With the recent increase of $1 million in salary cap, the question on how to resolve this issue is open. It's no secret that the league is trying to fix it. Every year teams are struggling with their salary cap, preventing them to move players and offering contracts to free agents etc ..
Former NHL players, Maxime Lapierre, who is now a sport analyst for TVA Sports made a proposition on his Twitter account yesterday. This proposal would incite teams to make the most out of their draft picks in order to free up some cap space. On the other hand, it wouldn't change the current situation regarding the signing of free agents.
It's an interesting proposal by the former Canadiens players, we'll see how the situation evolves.
