Although it may seem like all hope has been lost for the Flyers in between the pipes due to the unfortunate Carter Hart situation, but the Flyers have many goaltenders in the works as many young goalies continue to develop in their respected leagues. One Flyers prospect rode an undefeated record into the weekend and was able to end the weekend the same way he started as he continues to dominate.
Flyers 18-year-old third round pick Yegor Zavragin went into the weekend with an undefeated 11-0-0 record in the VHL with Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk. After another dominating performance on Sunday morning, Zavragin moved his record to an impressive 12-0-0 on the season.
In Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk's 4-2 win on Sunday, Zavragin made an impressive 34 saves on 36 attempts as they cruised to a victory and Zavragin remained undefeated.
Zavragin not only has an impressive record on the year, but he is also making saves at an extremely efficient rate, posting a .944 save percentage and a 1.54 GAA with three shutouts on the season.
Could Zavragin be the future of the Flyers in between the pipes? It could come sooner than later if he posts a perfect record on the season.
