Absolute huge news out of Nashville

The Nashville Predators were probably one of the best teams in the NHL between 2017 and 2020. However, things have gotten a little bit worse since. They are not a bottom placed team. However, it seems that they're stuck in the middle of the NHL standings.

But one thing that didn't seem to get much attention was the financial situation of the franchise. Sportico ranked the Predators as the 26th most valuable franchise in the NHL with a value of $680 million .

The NHL average is $934 million. Let's say that the Preds situation isn't great...

But according to Eben Novy-Williams, former Tennessee governor Bill Haslam, the brother of of Browns owner Jimmy Haslam, is set to buy the Nashville Predators. Per Forbes, Bill Haslam is worth $2.3 billion.
