Bruins forward Brad Marchand has recently undergone major hip surgery and it's been revealed by the team that he is expected to miss 6 months.

Writing this, we are currently May 28 and if it does indeed take Marchand 6 months to recover, that would drag his 2022-23 NHL season debut to late November.

In the official statement, Marchand underwent surgery to fix an issue on both of his hips on Friday.
This season, Marchand led the Bruins with 80 points in 70 games with 32 goals. Marchand managed to collect 11 points in seven playoff appearances before the Bruins lost to the Carolina Hurricanes.
In game 4 versus the Canes Marchand had a 4 point night. All on two busted hips.
With his absence for next years season, the Bruins enter one of the most uncertain offseasons yet. There are rumours that captain Patrice Bergeron may not renew his contract while the lack of playoff success has seen Bruce be put under the microscope.
What goes around comes around in this league. We just have to see how he deals with this adversity.
