Former Philadelphia Flyer goaltender Alex Lyon had an incredible week, earning the title of NHLPA Player of the Week after leading the league in saves and recording his first career shutout. Now playing for the Florida Panthers, Lyon helped his team to five straight wins with three wins this past week.

Lyon's standout performance included a 56-save performance against the Carolina Hurricanes, which is tied for the second-most saves in a regular-season shutout in NHL history. Lyon's impressive play has helped solidify the Panthers' goaltending position and contributed to the team's recent success.
For Lyon, earning the NHLPA Player of the Week title is a well-deserved honor and a testament to his hard work and dedication to the sport. As the Panthers continue their push towards the playoffs, Lyon's strong play will undoubtedly be a key factor in their success
