The news out of the Calgary Flames continues to worsen as the team spirals out of control with their season on the line so early. The team has seen several players decide not to sign with them or request to be traded.
A few nights ago, after the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Calgary Flames 5 to 4, it was announced by Flames defenseman Nikita Zadorov that he is requesting a trade away from the beleaguered franchise. He has been rumoured for months, along with Noah Hanifan and Brandon Tanev.
Several teams have been linked to Zadorov, including one surprising Eastern Conference team.

The Philadelphia Flyers have been working through their second rebuilding year and have compiled a modest record. However, the team has been marred by injuries, especially on the blue line, with Mark Stall and Rasmus Ristolainen out for the long term.
The Flyers can certainly acquire Zadorov's cap hit, which stands around $3.7 million. With Risto on long-term injury reserve and his cap hit at $5.1 million, there's sufficient room for Zadorov to come to the City of Brotherly Love.
Even Mike Commodore, a former NHL player who has expressed his opinion more than once on social media, tweeted yesterday that Zadorov should be ready to pack his bags and head to Philadelphia.
It's going to be an interesting week for both Zadorov and the Flames, as both parties would like to resolve this quickly.
