Are the Flyers are finally doing something right for once??

Starting in the 2022-2023 season, the Philadelphia Flyers announced that every player on their roster will be paired with a charitable or community initiative. Meaning each player under contract with the team will have to choose a cause or organization they believe in to support throughout the year.

The players will have until the start of the season to make their choices and if they are already involved in a cause, they will be allowed to continue to endorse them. Players are all expected to make public and private appearances to volunteer and support the initiative they have chosen.

This season, the Flyers have seen their relationship with their fanbase sour and decrease tenfold. The lack of accountability, the uncovering of mistreatment towards their staff and especially their fans has been appalling. Management seems to have finally got the message.

To paraphrase Valerie Camillo, President of Business operations for the team, says management wants to ensure that every player who puts on the historic jersey knows how important it is to give back to the community.

"An important part of being a Flyer is giving back", the statement read.
