Looks like the Philadelphia Flyers will be the only team playing at the Wells Fargo Center- not just yet though. A plan has been implemented that the Philadelphia 76ers will be working on a new home near the Fashion District downtown. The project will be completed for the 2031-2032 NBA season, according to the team, and groundbreaking isn't expected for several years. It will be privately funded.
Not only the 76ers, but it has now been said the Philadelphia Phillies will also be joining in on a new stadium, only 18 years after the construction was completed. Construction is supposed to start 2054 and will located on 6th and Market. Right in the heart of the city.

I wonder what kind of luck this could bring to the Philadelphia Flyers. Having their own stadium at last. Anything to bring some type of positivity to the team, I guess.
I am not sure what the purpose of having new stadiums will be. The Phillies have only had theirs for less than 20 years and is considered to be one of the best ball parks. I know that the 76ers have talked before about wanting their own building. They have the practice facility right across the pond in Camden, NJ. I believe having these new stadiums is going to cause such chaos for parking and traffic in the city-exactly what we all need more of right? Not everyone is a fan of public transportation, and the crowds already in the city is just going to cause more and more issues.
Realistically, I just am not sure this will be a great idea- but what do I know?
