The Detroit Red Wings have signed former Philadelphia Flyers and Florida Panther to a 2 year deal worth $900K cap hit.
In 15 games played for the Florida Panthers he has .914 SV% with a 2.89 GAA. He had a good stretch in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, after he got hot near the end of the season. He was a main reason the Panthers had a chance against the Boston Bruins.
Alex Lyon is a 30-year-old goaltender who has finally found a place in the NHL permanently after being up and down in the Flyers organization.
