The Boston Bruins have announced that a trio of defenseman underwent surgeries on Friday. Charlie McAvoy, their best defenseman, will miss 6 months after undergoing a left shoulder arthroscopic stabilization surgery.
In the case of Mike Reilly, he will be out for 3 months as he underwent surgery to repair his right ankle tendon and to remove bone fragments. Finally, Matt Grzelcyk had a right shoulder open stabilization and will miss at least 4 months.
It means that the Bruins will miss two of their best players for the beginning of next season as Brad Marchand was also sidelined for 6 months after undergoing hip surgeries.
