It seems when NHL executives and head coaches get fired many of them will land on their feet quickly with a new team. It's shocking that this happens because always felt that a dismissed coach or GM should be removed from the game for at least one year to give themselves a chance to change their ways.

It appears that former general manager of the Flyers Chuck Fletcher will do such a thing as he will become part of Sportsnet's draft panel.
Fletcher's career began in 1993 when he became the assistant general manager of the new Florida Panthers. He has worked for five different NHS organizations and has been general manager for two of them the Minnesota Wild and the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Flyers had high hopes for him with all the experience he has gained over the past 20 to 25 years and hoped he'd be able to build the Flyers into a contender. In the last few years, he's made some questionable decisions, signings and trades that eventually cost him his job.
The dagger fell on him when he was completely inactive during the NHL trade deadline this year when he should have been moving as much talent and money off the payroll.
It will be interesting to see what he has to say when he's on the panel in late June.
