BREAKING - John Tortorella Announces That He Won't Be Coaching For The Rest of The Season

The Philadelphia Flyers will have two different head coaches behind the bench for their upcoming games. Rocky Thompson will be taking on the role tonight, and Darryl Williams will be leading the team on Thursday in Chicago. This comes as a surprise to some, as John Tortorella was expected to be the head coach for the remainder of the season and he still is, but not doing the proper duties.

Tortorella had taken over the head coaching position after Alain Vigneault was let go earlier this year. However, it seems the Flyers organization has decided to go in a different direction and to give Rocky Thompson a viewing on if they can meet the needs of Torts' assistant.

The Flyers will not be making the playoffs anytime soon, and a coaching change will not affect anything. Fans will be watching closely to see how Thompson and Williams perform in their new roles behind the bench.
