BREAKING NEWS : Big suspension for Evgeni Malkin

Last night, Evgeni Malkin viciously slashed and cross-checked Predators defenseman Mark Borowiecki. The latter left the ice bloodied and you just knew that the NHL was going to do something about it.

Well, it's now official : Malkin has been suspended for 4 games by the league for his cross-checking Mark Borowiecki.


This season, Malkin has 37 points in 37 games, including 20 assists. The Penguins have 8 games remaining on their schedule, so it means that the forward will miss half of the final stretch in the regular season.
