Brennan Menell, under contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs, has been traded to the Flyers for future considerations. This acquisition by Chuck Fletcher will allow more depth on the blue line for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, where he will play for now since the trade deadline has passed, and potentially to the Flyers next season.

The Phantoms are just 8 points behind the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, and they have two games in hand to qualify for the last spot in the AHL playoffs.

Brennan Menell has 5 points in 10 games in the AHL but he has already played in the NHL for the Wild and the Leafs.
