The NHL Trade Deadline, which will take place on March 3rd, is just around the corner now that the New Year has arrived. According to many insiders, teams are looking to make early trades so they can solidify their rosters before the trade deadline shenanigans begin.

Before the trade deadline, there are obviously separate groupings of players in each skill level, as reported by Bladesofsteel.com.
Patrick Kane, Bo Horvat, Ryan O'Reilly, and Timo Meier are unquestionably members of Group A.
Jonathan Toews, Tyler Bertuzzi, and Vladimir Tarasenko of the St. Louis Blues make up group B.

Trade rumours regarding the Blues' key player Tarasenko are not only new, but have been going around for a while now as it seems the team is prepared to let the 31-year-old Russian go.
As March 3rd draws near, Tarasenko's name has become more and more popular in trade discussions, but a significant problem has suddenly come to light: Tarasenko sustained a hand injury while blocking a shot.
Tarasenko immediately left the game and did not come back; he is currently labelled as "day-to-day" and will undergo more testing.
Given that this is Tarasenko's third injury in recent years, this one will undoubtedly damage his trade value, assuming there is one still left..
