Bob Murdoch, a former NHL player and accomplished coach, sadly passed away at 76. During his successful career, he won the Stanley Cup twice with the Montreal Canadiens and earned recognition as a skilled coach, including winning the Jack Adams Award.

Starting with the Canadiens in 1970, Murdoch contributed to two Stanley Cup victories in his three-year tenure. He later played for the Los Angeles Kings until 1979 and concluded his playing career with the Calgary Flames in 1982.
Notably, Murdoch's standout season was with the Kings in 1974-1975, showcasing his exceptional two-way playing style and earning a spot on the All-Star team.
A former Jack Adams Trophy winner has unfortunately passed away at the age of 76.
Following his playing days, Murdoch transitioned into coaching, leading teams like the Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, Winnipeg Jets, and San Jose Sharks. In his debut season as the Winnipeg Jets' coach, he earned the Jack Adams award after guiding the team to a remarkable 21-point increase in their points total from the previous season.
