BREAKING: NHL Team Hit With $125,000 Fine After Violating Rules

For violating the NHL's travel regulations, the Toronto Maple Leafs were assessed a $100,000 punishment.

They arrived in St. Louis on the incorrect day.
Sheldon Keefe, the team's head coach, was also penalized $25,000 by the NHL for his belligerent behaviour toward a representative.

MAPLE LEAFS FINED $100.000 FOR VIOLATING COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
The National Hockey League announced today that it has fined the Toronto Maple Leafs' organization $100,000 for the team's travel to St. Louis on Dec. 26, 2022. This team activity was in violation of Article 16.5 (b) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL and the NHL Players' Association. The fine money goes to the NHL Foundation.
