NHL Prospect Accused of Being a Racist on His Twitter

It's not surprising to learn that hockey has a significant cultural issue given all the information that has come to light over the last year about several Hockey Canada scandals, the Mitchell Miller event involving the Boston Bruins, and numerous other court documents demonstrating it.

The most recent "scandal" includes Jakub Lauko, an NHL prospect who was selected by the Boston Bruins organization as the 77th overall pick in 2018. He has been accused of being a racist, and this accusation can be seen on his Twitter page under his "favorited/liked" postings.

The prospect, a 22-year-old who is aiming to one day join the Boston Bruins club, has played in just seven NHL games but already has a promising AHL career.
Hockey is a very public sport with large fan bases that number in the hundreds of thousands. Many players are well aware that their image is important and that incidents like these won't go ignored, so it's quite bold for him to like these kinds of messages.
