John Tortorella gives an update on Hart's injury

As many in Flyers nation enjoyed their Christmas holiday, many likely waited with bated breath for news on Flyers goaltender Carter Hart's injury. He sustained the injury during a game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Rasmus Ristolainen made the unfortunate error of pushing Seth Jarvis into Hart where he had to skate off the ice and not finish the game.

It was ruled an upper-body injury, and that's where the news changed today. Head coach John Tortorella revealed today that he spoke to Carter Hart over the holidays and felt he was good to go.

This is fantastic news for Flyers fans! Carter Hart has been their best player all season and has continued to improve as the season continues. His skill set and steadfast style was on display over the last number of weeks.
The 24-year-old has played 27 games with 10 wins, 11 losses, and six overtime losses. He holds a 2.89 goals-against average and has a .911 save percentage.
