The Philadelphia Flyers were expected to be pretty quiet during NHL Free Agency but Danny Briere has found a couple new additions to the Flyers organization.
Danny Briere and the Philadelphia Flyers made it official that they signed Dallas Stars forward Rhett Gardner to a two-year, two-way contract that carries $775,000 of AAV.
The 27-year-old has little NHL experience, only playing in 40 career NHL games. In those forty games he has a total of 2 points, with 1 goal and assist each. With Dallas Stars AHL affiliate the Texas Stars, it is a different story. He has 84 points across 5 seasons with the Texas Stars, playing close to 200 games in the AHL.
His best season came this year, earning himself the call up to the NHL. He had 40 points across 71 games played, scoring 10 goals with 30 assists. Definitely more of a playmaker type player.
