As the All-Star break comes to a close and the Philadelphia Flyers begin their return to game action, the Flyers have given fans much to be excited about as the team announced hours before game time that a prominent star has been taken off of injured reserve and is ready to go for tonight's matchup in South Florida.
After a near two-week absence, Flyers star right wing
Owen Tippett has officially been taken off of the injured reserve list and is set to return to game action tonight against his former team in the Florida Panthers.
Tippett offers a much needed boost to the Flyers offense which has been outscored 27-12 and lost five straight games before the All-Star break. On January 20, Tippett suffered a scar injury against the Colorado Avalanche as he was awkwardly hit in between the boards and suffered a lower body injury.

During his absence, Tippett became a cornerstone for the Flyers for the future signing an eight year contract extension as his offensive ability has shown great development under John Tortorella and has been a massive reason for the Flyers early success this season.
While Tippett was sidelined, the Flyers greatly missed his presence, dropping five straight as they sadly limped into the All-Star break.
Tuesday night's matchup especially proves to be a big one for Tippett as he returns to Florida and faces the team where his NHL career started and ultimately was the team that traded him to the Flyers.
