As the Flyers prepare to face reality without Carter Hart and move into the next step of their process, many questions are to be answered regarding the future of the Flyers in between the pipes. As the trade deadline heats up and a difficult last five games for the Flyers, many are speculating if the Flyers will be trying to make a move to upgrade, or at least find temporary relief for an unfortunate situation.
Tonight the Flyers take on the Florida Panthers on the road as they announce that goalie
Samuel Ersson will get the start, and remain the starter for the foreseeable future as the orange and black look to rally behind their 24-year-old goalie.
Ersson has been solid for the Flyers this year and has shown flashes of greatness as the Flyers as a team have exceeded expectations by a mile. However, worry has begun to set in as it felt like the roof collapsed on the Flyers in the final week before the All-Star break.

After sitting just two points out of first place in the Metro Division and riding a five game winning streak into January 20, the Flyers seemingly imploded, dropping five straight games and being outscored 27-12 during that stretch.
In his last ten games, Ersson has allowed 24 total goals with a save percentage of .891. To his credit, not every goal allowed has been due to Ersson, but the overall struggle of the Flyers has fans and analysts worried.
Puck drop is set for 7:00p.m. EST in Florida as the Flyers look to shake off the latest losing streak and take advantage of over a week long break.
Will the Flyers get back on track or will they try to look for a replacement for Ersson?
