The Philadelphia Flyers has quite frankly been one of the worsts in the NHL, and the Athletic news group ranked the Flyers at fifth last in the league in terms of improvements this off-season. The Flyers added gritty forward Nic Deslauriers which is quite exciting, but on a lengthy uneasy contract. The Flyers traded for defenseman Anthony DeAngelo who is a known problem in teams locker rooms throughout the NHL, if his off-ice issues can stay out of it, that is the only Flyers win this off-season. The Flyers also brought back Justin Braun for some odd reason, Braun is a filler that gets placed on the third defensive pair each and every year and plays a role in the Flyers penalty killing units.
The news also hit of
Sean Couturier possibly getting the teams captain role, until it was reported he may miss 7-8 months due to a herniated disc if it does not heal on it's own.
The bad luck does not stop, as the Flyers have lost another fan favourite..
The Flyers pre-game and post-game show officially part ways with reporter Taryn Hatcher, a fan favourite for many years in Philly.

Hatcher, has selected a new opportunity which is amazing for her, but sucks for Flyers fans. Instead of just working with the Flyers, she will be working for each Philly sports team it seems, which cuts out her coverage on the pre/post game shows in Philly, where fans enjoyed seeing her.
'I can't share too many details just yet, but it does mean I'll no longer host Flyers pregame and postgame coverage. I have absolutely loved my time on the shows, and am so thankful to the countless people who have made that time an amazing experience.''
