BREAKING: The Flyers welcome a former player to the broadcast team

NBC Sports Philadelphia has announced that Brian Boucher is set to take on the role of primary analyst for their live-game coverage of the Philadelphia Flyers. Boucher, a former NHL goaltender and Flyers player, brings a wealth of experience to the broadcast team.

Brian Boucher, who has been covering the NHL for national TV networks over the last eight years, is no stranger to Philadelphia or the Flyers community. He started his media career with NBC Sports Philadelphia and is excited to return to the city he and his family consider home.

Boucher will team up with longtime play-by-play announcer Jim Jackson, taking over the role previously held by Keith Jones, who is now the Flyers' president of hockey operations and alternate governor.

Brian Boucher's broadcasting journey has taken him to various networks, including ESPN and NBC Sports. He recently joined TNT's NHL coverage as a between-the-benches analyst. His extensive resume includes coverage of NHL regular season and playoff games, the Stanley Cup Final, and contributions to NBC Olympics' coverage of the 2018 and 2022 Winter Games. Boucher has also been a regular presence on the NHL Network.

Boucher's media career began with NBC Sports Philadelphia's Flyers coverage after he retired from his 13-year NHL playing career in 2013. Rejoining the team, he will work alongside Jim Jackson and reunite with pregame and postgame analysts Al Morganti and Scott Hartnell, his former Flyers teammate. Ashlyn Sullivan will host Flyers Pregame Live and Flyers Postgame Live.
