The Philadelphia Flyers have signed defenseman Louie Belpedio to a two-year, two-way, $1.55 million contract ($775,000 AAV), according to General Manager Daniel Briere.
Belpedio, 27, had an impressive 2022-23 season with Lehigh Valley of the AHL, recording 27 points and 81 penalty minutes in 70 games. The 5-foot-11 blueliner led the Phantoms in games played, game-winning goals, and ranked fifth in shots. With 108 points in his AHL career, Belpedio brings offensive prowess to the Flyers' lineup. Drafted by the Minnesota Wild in 2014, he has also played five NHL games. The Flyers are excited to have Belpedio's skills on their roster.
