The Philadelphia Flyers have appointed Patrick Sharp as the Special Advisor to Hockey Operations, as announced by General Manager Daniel Briere.

Sharp, a former NHL Flyer and player with a 16-year professional career, brings a wealth of knowledge and a winning culture to the organization.
President of Hockey Operations Keith Jones expressed his confidence in Sharp's ability to build a winning environment at all levels.
As a three-time Stanley Cup Champion and a member of the Philadelphia Flyers' 2005 Calder Cup Championship team, Sharp's experience and expertise will be invaluable in player development with the Flyers' prospects.

"In adding Patrick Sharp to our group, we are gaining an individual who has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to building an environment of winning at all levels," said President of Hockey Operations Keith Jones. "Patrick knows what it takes to win, he understands how to convey that to our players and is a relationship maker. He will be a vital component as we continue to build the foundation of the Philadelphia Flyers."

Having retired from the NHL in 2018, Sharp has since been involved in broadcasting and served as an Advisor to the Coaching Staff at the University of Vermont.
