The Flyers organization is continuously evaluating its talent and prospect pool to determine if a trade could improve its roster in the future. As the organization entered its second year of rebuilding, many believe that the current core of the team may be available for trade since they are currently their best players.
Wild speculation arose over the last 48 hours after Carter Hart was pulled just before two games that he was slated to start.
It's not uncommon to see a goaltender being pulled from a game before its beginning due to illness or an undisclosed injury during practice or warm-up. Others speculate that the team is preparing to move Carter Hart to the Edmonton Oilers, as the Oilers are experiencing one of their worst starts in history.

Since then, General Manager Danny Briere explained what had happened to Hart and mentioned that his health had taken a turn for the worse.
Hart is a vital asset to the Flyers, whether defending his teammates or as potential trade bait in a blockbuster deal that could land him elsewhere and solidify that team's fortune. Much will be made over the next several months as the Flyers continue to evaluate and assess.
