The Flyers are in quite the predicament ahead of the March 3rd trade deadline. The prospect pool is thin as they find themselves slipping out of the wild card picture and towards the lottery. This afternoon, Fletcher spoke to the media and revealed the Flyers trade deadline plans.
Building off of that, Fletcher also stated, "most of the calls I've had have been about players on expiring contracts. That said, we're willing to listen on anyone". Fletcher appears to be trying his best to make deals to bring in new higher-end talent and is listening to all offers on every player on the roster.
With that being said, just because Fletcher is taking calls on everyone the Flyers have on the roster doesn't mean that everyone is on the trading block. The Flyers have some young pieces to look forward to and have improved under Tortorella this season, but not enough to make the playoffs. It seems that Fletcher has a plan in place and an idea of what the future will look like, but the right deal will need to come along for anything drastic to happen.
