With all the bad news in Calgary of late regarding the departures of Johnny Gaudreau, and Matthew Tkachuk, we've got some good news for Flames fans!
The Calgary Flames just announced that they have re-signed forward Andrew Mangiapane to a brand new $17,400,000 million dollar three-year contract, with an annual salary worth $5,800,000 dollars.
The 26 year-old had a break-out year scoring 35 goals, and 55 points in 82 games last season, and will have a bigger role to fill with Johnny Hockey's departure.
Mangiapane was drafted by the Flames back in the 2015 NHL draft by the Flames in the 6th round 166th overall.
