Sullivan, is a two time Stanley Cup champion as head coach when the Penguins won back to back Stanley Cups in 2016 and 2017 and was the first American born coach in NHL history to win multiple Stanley Cup championships.
Sullivan has been the Penguins head coach since December 12 2015 when he replaced former head coach Mike Johnston.
