Flyers goaltender Carter Hart has had it rough the past few seasons.
People will say it's because of the lack of defense and some will just say he isn't good enough.
It's safe to say the defense has not been where it should be for a few seasons now. Ryan Ellis having a season ending injury last year and the exposure of Ivan Provorov without a complimentary player has not helped Carter Hart's game.
Lack luster defense and turnovers to where your goalie needs to stand on his head every game is not going to help.
With that being said, Carter Hart has also looked bad at times. It shows that after a goal early on, he has trouble bouncing back and looks flustered. Signs of maturity and growth seem to be a struggle here.
Can Carter Hart become that #1 goaltender the Flyers need or is he just a tier 2 goalie who needs a really good defense in front of him?
