The Toronto Maple Leafs, like several other teams, will be joining in on the celebration of the LGBTQ+ community during their annual Pride Night game versus the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight. It is worth noting that the team will not be wearing special Pride-themed jerseys for their warmup, as they have always stuck to their regular attire.

Nevertheless, the Maple Leafs will display their support by wearing special helmet decals throughout the game and featuring messages promoting the LGBTQ+ community on the arena video screen during stoppages in play. Since 2017, the organization has been taking part in Pride Night celebrations, and this year, head coach Sheldon Keefe and defenseman Morgan Rielly demonstrated their support by wearing rainbow-themed t-shirts during media availability in the morning.
According to Morgan Rielly, "I believe actions speak louder than words, and especially speak louder than attire," emphasizing that the team's support goes beyond just wearing special jerseys.
