Despite regisitering two wins in their last two games, the Capitals are going through a little bit of a rough sequence since January 1st. They only won 10 of their 24 games in 2022, but they still have 94.3% chances to make the playoffs as of today.

With the trade deadline coming at the end of the month, the Caps are looking at improving their lineup and the Flyers could help them.
In the last few weeks, Capitals scouts were present at multiple Flyers game. According to Brandon Sommerman, Washington has "quietly kept an eye on Claude Giroux situation". With that being said, I really don't see Giroux waiving his clause to go to Washington.
Capitals GM Brian MacLellan could however try to acquire Martin Jones or Justin Braun. They have a need in those two positions. Braun could be a good fit for them at a cheap price. In the case of Martin Jones, his performances are really not what we have been hoping for, but he could really help a team like Washington who's looking to add a veteran presence in front of the net.
