With the 2023-2024 NHL season just around the corner, Carter Hart has made a huge change to his helmet design and he has always been known for his killer helmet designs.
His mask is a callback to a musician he's familiar with, and has played on the guitar before, who he's played on a few occasions: Johnny Cash.

Fans have taken to the mask itself, and there is no doubt that a rebel like Cash is loved by everyone.
It was designed by Franny Drummond and Paint Zoo Studios of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, who worked on making the new helmet.
A great tribute to Cash is also provided by the helmet, which features the iconography of Cash and adds a nice touch to the season.
