Claude Giroux faced off against the Philadelphia Flyers for the first time since being traded away, the game took place in Ottawa Ontario Canada on Giroux's new stomping grounds with the Senators.

Carter Hart played a strong game and only allowed one goal on 34 shots against a hungry Senators team, who was in need of a win to snap their losing streak, but Carter Hart said not today!
During the game Claude Giroux did a unnecessary but a kind gesture towards goaltender Carter Hart who was unable to grab his goalie stick. Giroux skated backwards despite his team playing defense, and purposely kicked Hart's stick back to him.

Now the Flyers are set to take on Claude Giroux once again but this time on Carters stomping grounds in Philadelphia. Hart revealed Giroux actually sent him a text after the game, and it is as Hart explains below:
Hart said:
"He's a great guy, a great teammate. I loved playing with him. He texted me the other night, in the 3rd period, my stick was in the corner there, and he kicked it to me. Like I said 'I didn't think you meant to do it', he said 'I'm just a nice guy'"
Despite the chirping between Giroux and the Flyers bench while the Flyers were ahead on the score board, Giroux shined through and continued to show his class.
